Crux Outfitters is named after a constellation found in the southernmost visible part of the milky way, now commonly referred to as the southern cross. Seen year-round on clear nights, it was used by early settlers as a navigational tool.

Owner/Guide Cam Macdonald has a strong passion for hunting and everything outdoors. Having guided in NZ and Canada, he has a wealth of knowledge within the hunting industry.

Queenstown is known as the adventure capital of NZ, there is an abundance of activities for you to enjoy before and after your hunt some of which are. Bungy jumping, skydiving, golf, jet boating, world class vineyards and restaurants, an exciting nightlife as well as 2 ski hills to make use of in the winter.  Which makes it the perfect destination to extend your stay or to bring the whole family along. We are more than happy to help cater with any other activities for you to enjoy after your hunt
